Where To Grab The Best Beers in Wynwood
- June 10, 2025
The bright, expansive murals that cover Wynwood have gained worldwide acclaim, and this colorful destination is one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Greater Miami & Miami Beach. You’ll find several spots that serve an array of thirst-quenching beers. If you’re looking to dive into Miami’s craft beer scene, Wynwood is the perfect place to do it. Here are all the places you’ll want to hit.
Cuban Beers In A Tropical Setting
Cerveceria La Tropical is a stunning outdoor beer garden that traces its roots back to one of Cuba’s oldest breweries. Staying true to its name, this lush space is filled with rare plants and orchids installed in partnership with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The beer list is pretty extensive, with everything from a classic Ambar Ale to a Czech Lager. Try them straight or in a tasty beer cocktail; there’s even a cocktail-inspired ale made with notes of coconut and grenadine. Round out the experience with delicious Caribbean-inspired snacks, like the crispy mojo yuca bites and Cuban sandwich empanadas. And if there’s anyone in your group who’s not into beer, there’s also a full bar.
A Fun Spot Serving Classic Wynwood Brews
Casa La Rubia is a cool spot that is the result of the merger of two of Miami’s most well-known craft breweries: Wynwood Brewing and Veza Sur Brewing Co. With a diverse selection of beers, including the cult favorite La Rubia from Wynwood Brewing Co. and other classics like Pops Porter, Lulo Sour and Father Francisco – all of which are brewed on-site – it’s great for beer lovers of all kinds. The food menu features a variety of Latin-inspired dishes. The vibrant space hosts salsa dancing nights, board game nights, sporting event watch parties, and other fun theme nights.
A Classic Bar For Cold Beer
One of Wynwood’s oldest and most legendary bars, Gramps is a laid-back spot with a come-as-you-are vibe, making it a great place to relax with a cold beer. In fact, the words COLD BEER are painted on the side of the building, letting you know you’re in the right place. With dozens of canned and bottled options, you’ll find plenty of local, domestic and imported beers. On Thursdays, you’ll find the Double Stubble party, with local icons DJ Hott Pants and Karla Croqueta, featuring drag performances and a busy dance floor. Head outside to snag a slice from Pizza Tropical, and don’t forget to order the garlic rolls.
A Lively Sports Bar
Grails is the closest thing you’ll find to a true sports bar in Wynwood. With over 70 televisions playing sporting events, the feeling here ranges from classic sports bar to lively nightclub. When it comes to beer, there are plenty of options available on draft by the pint or pitcher, as well as a handful of bottled options. If you’re looking for a local brew, La Rubia is the way to go as it’s made right down the street at Casa La Rubia. If you’re hungry, the menu is filled with elevated bar bites, such tuna poke nachos and cheeseburger dumplings, plus all the usual suspects like large burgers and Buffalo wings.

A Chic Hotel Bar With A View
Pop into the Arlo Wynwood hotel and head up to the third floor, where you’ll discover a chic tropical oasis that offers excellent views of Miami’s skyline. Higher Ground is a graffiti mural-covered hangout spot that’s perfect for a pre-game beer before you head deeper into Wynwood’s nightlife scene. The beer menu features classics like Peroni and Yuengling as well as more unique choices, including a selection of beers from locally loved Tripping Animals Brewing Co. You can’t go wrong with their sour ale (Limonada Rosada) or IPA (Ever Haze).
Japanese Beers At An Asian-Inspired Restaurant
Okay, so this might not be the first place people think of when they’re craving a beer, but it offers some unique choices. KYU is a wood-fired, Asian-inspired restaurant that serves some of Miami’s most iconic dishes – delicious roasted cauliflower, duck burnt ends and housemade coconut cake with the most decadent icing. All of these dishes are a must, but if you’re here for the beer, you’ll find a short and simple menu with options you’ve probably never seen before, like a sweet potato ale named Beniaka from Coedo Brewery in Japan or a Japanese-made white Belgian ale called Hitachino.
Happy Hour Specials At A Lively Restaurant
Known to have one of the best happy hours in the area, Le Chick is a lively restaurant with delicious food, cool vibes, great cocktails and – you guessed it – ice cold beers. Most beers here are an affordable $8, and during happy hour, you can snag a beer for $5 along with a ton of discounted bites like fried chicken and smash royale burgers. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside on the patio that’s filled with colorful murals reminding you that you’re in Miami’s most artistic neighborhood.
