Where to Find Miami’s Best Food Trucks
- August 14, 2025
Food trucks – mobile restaurants manned by creative chefs – are an excellent way to discover the soul of a city. So while Greater Miami & Miami Beach has plenty of award-winning restaurants to explore, you can find food that’s just as satisfying, special and exciting on a street corner or in a strip mall parking lot. Here are Miami’s best food trucks, offering food from all over Latin America and the rest of the world.
Food Truck Rallies and Events
Six days a week, you can find a food truck rally somewhere in Miami. Hours typically run from 5-10 p.m., and Miami Food Truck Events hosts roundups on a regular schedule (and also hosts other gatherings periodically):

- Tuesday: Haulover Park Beach, 10800 Collins Ave.
- Wednesday: Pelican Harbor Marina, 1275 NE 79th St.
- Thursday: Highland Oaks Park, 20300 NE 24th Ave.
- Friday: Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St.
- Saturday: Amelia Earhart Park, 405 E 65th St.
Top Food Trucks in Miami
Even if you can’t make it out to one of the food truck rallies, you can find top trucks all over the destination. Here are some of the best. Be sure to check out their websites and social media for location updates.
Mofongo and More at El Bori
Bori is shorthand for “Boricua,” a nickname for Puerto Ricans. That gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect at El Bori, a roving cavalcade of island cuisine where you’ll find mofongo-stuffed chicken, mofongo topped with vaca frita, and a surf and turf mofongo with steak and shrimp. El Bori is far from a one-plantain pony, though, and its selection of sandwiches ranges from pastrami to grilled chicken and cheese. You’ll typically find it parked on NW 36th Street in Doral.
Giant Burgers at Fat Boy Ricks
Bring your camera, and maybe stretch out your mouth, before a trip to Fat Boy Ricks, whose burgers are as immense as they are photogenic. The thick, half-pound patties are topped with generous amounts of meats, cheeses and sauces, creating an eating experience that tests the limits of your mouth’s capacity. Check out the Friday burger, topped with thick-cut bacon, guava jam and pepper jack cheese between a buttery brioche bun. The truck has two regular locations: one in Kendall and one on Bird Road.
South American Burgers & Hot Dogs at Mr. Pepito
Venezuelan and Colombian cuisines lend themselves perfectly to late-night eating, with staples like shoestring-potato-covered hot dogs and gooey, cheesy tequenos. Should you find yourself in Edgewater in need of an after-midnight snack, search out Mr. Pepito at 2731 NE 2nd Avenue. The Burger Colombiano is the jewel of the menu, stacked with all the traditional burger toppings plus pineapple sauce and potato chips. The stuff is just as delicious during the daytime should those same munchies come calling during lunch.

Get Cheesy at Ms. Cheezious
Ms. Cheezious is one of Miami’s great food truck success stories, going from a simple rolling sandwich shop to one of the area’s most popular fast-casual restaurants. You’ll still regularly find the original truck at events around Miami, pressing creative grilled cheese sandwiches like the Frito pie melt with chili, cheese and Fritos on sourdough and the Southern fried chicken and waffle melt with fried chicken and cheddar smashed between buttermilk waffles.
Java From a VW Bus at Naughty Coffee
Coffee always tastes a little better when it’s served out of a Volkswagen bus. That’s the philosophy at Naughty Coffee, where the mix of gourmet coffee drinks and fresh-baked sweet snacks has made it a daily stop for countless Miamians. An added bonus, especially during summer months: It’s typically situated inside malls, from Aventura to Dadeland. Follow along on Instagram and see which Sephora they’re popping up beside next.
Pies Made With Love at PizzElla
Putting a white-hot Neapolitan pizza oven inside a food truck can make for an impossibly warm working environment. The New Jersey native who mans PizzElla doesn’t let it phase him, though, putting out restaurant-quality pies through the window of his popular pizza truck. Chatting with him is an experience in and of itself, a little like stepping into a boardwalk pizzeria along the New Jersey shore. You’ll find the truck on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables on Thursdays and other locations around South Florida throughout the week.
Get The Real Deal At Tacos El Machine Gon
For real-deal, grit-and-grind authentic Mexican tacos, the undisputed kings of the road are Tacos el Machine Gon. The blue corn tortillas are unique among Miami food trucks. Favorites include the El Wero tacos with chicken breast, lettuce, onion, cotija cheese and Mexican cream and the El Machine Gon with steak, chorizo, pork skin, onions and cilantro. Sides are strong too. The elote corn and El Chido guacamole could stand as meals on their own. Light it’s not, but you’ll always walk away satisfied. You can find the truck Tuesday-Sunday at 2590 NW 186th St. in North Miami Beach.
Egg Rolls Like None Other at World Famous Egg Roll Truck
In a world of ever-flipping food trucks, the World Famous Egg Roll Truck has remained a constant, rolling along the streets of Miami for nearly a decade. You’ll find egg rolls stuffed with things you never thought to put in a wonton, from hibachi meats to Philly cheesesteak, and Oreo cheesecake for dessert. You can see where the truck will be by checking its Instagram, but it has one regular location in Miami-Dade at 19401 Northwest 27th Ave. in Miami Gardens.
