Called The City Beautiful for its lush green avenues and Mediterranean-revival architecture, Coral Gables is a neighborhood like no other. Already known for being home to icons like Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre and The Biltmore Hotel, as well as award-winning restaurants like Ortanique on the Mile, Coral Gables is also one of Miami’s most popular shopping districts. From high-end designer storefronts and intimate boutiques, to major chains, bridal shops, outdoor malls and more, The City Beautiful is the ultimate neighborhood for Miami’s local and visiting shopaholics.

Miracle Mile

There’s no doubt that Miracle Mile is the heart of Coral Gables. This European-style shopping street is filled with cafes and restaurants spilling out onto the street, charming sidewalks lit by strung lights and lanterns, and of course, a bevy of adorable shops, rare boutiques and home stores, all reflecting the latest fashion and design trends from Miami and beyond.

For the latest in women’s clothing, find everything from resort wear to prom dresses at My Best Friend’s Closet Boutique, or head to Dominique for the best in luxury American and European fashion. Looking for something really special? Get custom-made couture and alterations at Jossie’s Couture. Pair that couture with sparkling jewels from Morays Jewelers, Jose Roca Fine Jewelry Designs or Gables Gems.

Men can get great deals on quality men’s dress wear at Jos A. Bank, or find elegant European apparel at Pepi Bertini. Head to I. Designs Optical Boutique for eyewear from top designers like Oliver Peoples, Chrome Hearts, Tom Ford and Barton Perreira. Of course, it’s not all about expensive brands. There is a large Ross at the end that promises great discounts on top finds for men, women and children alike.

But Miracle Mile isn’t just about fashion—there are shops for design and art lovers too! Stroll through furniture stores like Kettal Furniture Store, Mi Cucina, Strato Ambienti and The Rose Tree Cottage, or find bespoke art at exclusive galleries like Conde Contemporary and Bruggens Gallery.

And finally, after a long day of shopping, curl up with a book and a cup of tea or coffee at one of Miracle Mile’s bookstores! Founded in 1982, and located just behind Miracle Mile, Books & Books is an independent bookstore that invites guests to relax, listen to live music, hear visiting authors, enjoy chef-driven cuisine or just read in its idyllic courtyard. For another option, a Barnes & Noble sits in the middle of Miracle Mile, where visitors have plenty of room to spread out and read their favorite novel or magazine.
