- October 14, 2025
Greater Miami & Miami Beach is home to some of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels in the world – including nine MICHELIN Key hotels. With its abundant green and tropical environment, it is also the perfect location for a plethora of eco-friendly hotels. You can now choose from more than 70 hotels with Green Key Certification
Green Key is a world-recognized certification awarded to hotels, hostels and resorts that demonstrate a serious commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. To earn the certification, a business must meet strict guidelines, including green cleaning practices, water and energy conservation and using local sourcing whenever possible.
If you're an eco-conscious traveler or local who values sustainable practices and wants to support environmentally responsible hotels, here’s a list of some of the best eco hotels in Miami with Green Key Certification:

Acqualina Resort & Residences On The Beach
The award-winning Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach holds a Green Key Eco Rating Level 4 for its lush green spaces and rooftop gardens, and it even provides an electric car charging station. It also offers relaxation lounges with Himalayan salt walls and a choice of four oceanfront restaurants, including: Avra (inspired by seaside Greek tavernas featuring in-season catch), and Il Mulino New York (award-winning Italian dining featuring market fresh daily specials). A perfect retreat for the whole family, Acqualina has partnered with the highly rated childcare provider, itavi, to provide its complimentary AcquaMarine program.

A Miami Beach classic since 1940, Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club holds a Green Key Eco Rating Level 4. Single-use straws are not allowed, water is recycled and there’s a Tesla charging station on-site, among other green efforts. Here, you can enjoy a farm-to-table breakfast of freshly baked goods and locally sourced dishes at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club’s Donna Mare. In addition, the spa services at K’Alma Spa are performed completely outdoors and provide a 100% plant-based line of products for those with sensitive skin. Try some of their natural signature treatments such as the St. Tropez body scrub, which uses polished seashells, or the Rosé Stone facial, which features the organic Stone Crop collection and a rose quartz crystal to reduce stress.
