Best Burgers in Miami
- March 04, 2026
A hot, juicy burger always hits the spot in Greater Miami and Miami Beach. You’ll find everything here, from classic, no-frills cheeseburgers to creative smash burgers and chef-driven creations. Usually, you can pair them with stellar French fries, a cold beer and even some unique milkshakes, too. Whether you’re settling in for lunch or a late-night bite, these are the best burger spots in Miami worth adding to your list.
ViceVersa
The burger at ViceVersa in Downtown Miami is one of the destination’s most talked-about dishes right now, served at Valentino Longo’s award-winning Italian aperitivo bar. Two proprietary beef blend patties topped with mild cheddar are dressed with cheddar aioli and caramelized onions, served on a toasted potato bun. Tangy pickles come on the side for a crunchy contrast to all that richness. There’s just one catch: It’s only available on Mondays starting at 5 p.m., and it tends to sell out within the first hour and a half – you’ve been warned.
La Birra Bar
La Birra Bar, which calls itself the “most awarded burger brand in the world,” started as a small spot in Buenos Aires and now has locations in North Miami, Wynwood and Doral. The brand is known for its 100-percent Argentine beef patties and its ever-changing menu, which also features hot dogs, loaded nachos and shakes.
If you go, order the Crispy Dubai burger with white cheddar, signature crispy onions and house dressing. It won the first Dubai Burger Championship and has earned the “Mike’s Amazing® People’s Choice Award” at South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s® Burger Bash two years in a row.
Cowy Burger
Wynwood’s art-filled streets are home to a smash burger joint people can’t get enough of. Cowy Burger keeps regulars coming back with its signature lacy-edged patties and an inventive menu. The Oklahoma comes with American cheese, grilled onions and a creamy, tangy house sauce. The Cowy Burger adds bacon jam and grilled onions for extra flavor. Order one – or both – with a side of waffle fries and a cookies-and-cream milkshake.
Sunny’s Steakhouse
Little River’s popular neighborhood haunt also serves one of the best burgers in town. The Sunny’s Limited Edition Sunny's Burger is available exclusively on the terrace for walk-ins only, and limited to just 40 per day. The dry-aged beef patty comes with sweet onion, secret sauce and pickles, and pairs well with a cold beer, martini or a glass of Champagne. Don’t forget a side of fries.
Ted’s Burgers
Originally a pop-up at a local brewery, Ted’s Burgers helped put the smash burger trend on the map in Miami back in 2021. Now in its permanent Wynwood location, Ted’s still draws fans for its crispy-edge burgers and fries. The OKC burger with onions, American cheese and special sauce is a favorite and comes as a single or double.

Skinny Louie
Skinny Louie keeps things simple with just three smash burgers, three milkshakes, fries and sodas – and that focused menu has clearly worked in its favor. The laid-back smash burger spot started in Wynwood and has since expanded to five additional locations in Aventura, Little Havana, Coral Gables, Doral and a new locale in South Miami.
The 100-percent fresh Black Angus beef patties are thin and crispy at the edges. To understand the hype, try the Skinny Louie Cheeseburger with grilled onions, double American cheese, pickles and special house sauce.
Coney Burger
Coney Burger is new to Downtown Miami but already popular for its thick, house-made patties and pillowy-soft buns. The cheerful yellow spot on North Miami Avenue has an intimate atmosphere that makes it ideal for a casual lunch or date night.
The OG Classic Burger keeps things simple with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles. The Wagyu Champ steps things up with a towering wagyu patty topped with pickled tomato and yuzu mayo, all tucked into a house-made brioche bun. The best part? Every order ends on a sweet note with an ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookie.
Blue Collar
Some burgers don’t need reinventing. Blue Collar, an American comfort food spot in the Upper East Side's historic MiMo District, has served one of the city’s best burgers for years, earning praise from USA Today, PBS and Zagat. The dry-aged cheeseburger blends New York strip and brisket, topped with melted American cheese on a Portuguese muffin. It’s a dependable neighborhood classic that still draws devoted fans.
El Rey De Las Fritas
Few burgers in Miami carry as much history as the frita at El Rey De Las Fritas. Opened in 1979 by a Cuban couple, the Little Havana institution has earned praise from celebrity chef Bobby Flay and has been featured on Netflix, the Travel Channel and the Food Network.
The frita is a spicy beef patty with a secret blend of herbs and spices, topped with zesty ketchup, onions and shoestring potato sticks on a Cuban-style bun. For something a little unexpected, try the Frita Dulce with fried sweet plantains. The 4 locations across Little Havana’s Calle Ocho, Hialeah, Flagler and Bird Road make it easy to find your closest fix.
Daniel’s Miami
Daniel’s Miami is famous for its steakhouse cuts and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, but its Coral Gables location has a burger that deserves its own moment. Order the Daniel’s Heritage Burger, which comes “frita style:” Hawthorne Tomme cheese, an au poivre aioli and Jimmy Nardello Peppers chimichurri are all nestled in a toasted brioche bun and served with a side of crispy potatoes. You can order it at the bar every day.
