Best Breweries & Microbreweries in Miami
- February 20, 2026
Beer in Miami has come a long way in the past 15 years, as funky local breweries have expanded from Miami Beach to Homestead. Deciding which of the best Miami breweries to visit can be a challenge, with so many fantastic places to find craft beer across the destination. Though given the variety, you’re sure to find a spot that’s just your vibe.
In terms of flavor profiles, Miami beer tends to be a little lighter and fruitier than in other places, as breweries often craft their creations around our tropical ingredients and sunny weather. So whether you’re looking for a family-friendly taproom in Wynwood or a more off-the-beaten-path brewery, here are our picks for where to find the very best beer in Miami.
Abbey Brewing Co.
Open since 1995, The Abbey Brewing Co. is the oldest brew pub in Miami Beach. This hole-in-the-wall is a classic dive bar, complete with a dartboard and pool tables. Founded by brewmaster Raymond Rigazio, this ultra-casual spot offers a mix of imported European beers, hard-to-find Trappist ales and barley wines, more than 150 bourbons and – of course – Abbey Brewing Co.’s own original brews.
Casa La Rubia
Back when Wynwood was Miami’s epicenter of craft beer, Wynwood Brewing and Veza Sur were the neighborhood's top destinations. Today, they’ve joined forces at Casa La Rubia, a jungle-y, breezy outdoor space named after Wynwood Brewing’s popular La Rubia Blonde Ale.
The library-meets-courtyard motif makes it the perfect spot for trivia nights and team outings, where you can sample four different takes on the classic La Rubia with habanero or extra hops. You can also try the fan-favorite Mangolandia mango wheat ale, or enjoy fried chicken from the permanent on-site food truck.

Cerveceria la Tropical
A modern take on Cuba’s oldest brewery, Cerveceria La Tropical is a Cuban-inspired taproom, restaurant and botanical beer garden in Wynwood. Head to the bar to order the popular La Original Ámbar Lager, or imagine you’re in Old Havana as you sip and stroll through the garden, admiring vibrant murals by local painters.
The food alone is a good reason to go – the menu is packed with tropical treats like Cuban sandwich empanadas, jerk smoked chicken, and sea salt tostones topped with ceviche.
Magic 13 Brewing Co.
This Little River brewery isn’t so much a taproom as a shaded backyard where you can kick back with a beer. Yes, the main building has a handful of bar seats and booths where you can sip an Islander Lager, Hazy Room IPA or Golden Rules Blonde Ale. They’re all enjoyable indoors, accompanied by karaoke or stand-up comedy. But Magic 13's real “magic” is on its outdoor patio, where you can relax under a shady tree and enjoy one of Miami’s perfect sunny afternoons or balmy evenings with some live music.
Lost City Brewing Company
For a variety of great beers in a rustic setting, try Lost City Brewing Company in North Miami, founded by Diego Escobar. Head to Lost City’s tasting room and its lush beer garden to sample everything from its Oleta River IPA to a coconut cream ale and a Belgian Tripel. There are a variety of food options onsite to enjoy with the beers, too.
No Seasons
No Seasons in Little River is what happens when a self-taught brewery employee gets so deep into the craft, he launches his very own brand. Located at the original Off Site Nano Brewery location, No Seasons is the brainchild of Theo Castillo, a Miami-born former teacher who cut his teeth at J. Wakefield Brewing and Grimm Artisan Ales before becoming an award-winning brewer in his own right in 2025.
This chill neighborhood spot with indoor-outdoor seating still serves the full Off Site Kitchen menu – like tallow fries, crispy grouper bites and a pastrami Reuben – now paired with No Seasons’ acclaimed brews, such as the Shrouded Skies hazy IPA.
Grain and Still
Doral’s MIA Bruhaus is now Grain and Still, a refreshed brewery with a more food-centric focus. After two former brewery employees discovered a shared love of food through the BBQ pop-up they founded together, they eventually acquired the MIA space and now execute their full culinary vision alongside a beverage program that includes in-house brews and a full bar.
Expect BBQ-inspired dishes with a Miami twist, like pulled pork tostones, alongside brewhouse stapes like the Giant German Pretzel. Wash it all down with signatures like the Domino, a crisp Caribbean lager, or the Miami Weiss, a mainstay from the original MIA brewery.
Miami Brewing Company
Deep in South Dade, through the palm-filled patio at Schnebly Redland’s Winery, you’ll find the original Miami Brewing Company in Homestead. The brewery has been around since 2013, cranking out easy-drinking, warm-weather beers from its massive warehouse taproom.
Inside, you’ll find a large, open space where you can enjoy MCB’s signature Big Rod Coconut Ale, Shark Bait Wheat and Vice IPA. What’s better, on Friday and Saturday, the brewery hosts country nights, where you can learn to line dance while you enjoy a beer flight.

The Tank Brewing Co.
The Tank Brewing Co. occupies a 25,000-square-foot building on the outskirts of Doral, whipping up what it calls “liquid innovation.” Choose from 16 Miami-inspired craft beers on tap, including the Belgian-style La Finca Miami wheat saison, Freedom Tower Amber Ale, La Playita Pils and Shark Valley IPA. Expect a fun industrial vibe here, with high ceilings, exposed ductwork and classic games such as cornhole, dominoes, cards and life-size Jenga.

Tripping Animals Brewing Co.
Once upon a time, four friends started brewing beer in their garage in Venezuela. After visiting breweries all over the world, they opened their own craft brewery in the Miami area. The Doral-based Tripping Animals Brewing Co. is a popular place to hang out, listen to music, get artsy, play pool or ping-pong and – of course – drink beer.
At this creative brewery, expect unique sours using local fruit. Some even taste like smoothies. Beer purists can also opt for the El Crippy pilsner, which tastes especially good when served arctic-cold.
Rocketeer Beer & Liquid Provisions
Who doesn’t love beer with a good, space-aged backstory? That’s what you’ll find at Rocketeer Beer & Liquid Provisions, across from The Falls shopping mall in Kendall. The space-themed brewery’s origin story involves a guy named Bob who travels through a space-time wormhole to improve the quality of beer.
The two-story taproom is done up like a 1950s café with an intergalactic theme. It’s not just a gimmicky beer hall, though. The successful home brewers who founded Rocketeer excel with their Zero Gravity Pizza Party Hazy IPA, and Fluffy Cloud Bavarian-style Heff.
South Beach Brewing Company
Tucked into an historic little bungalow between the bustle of Washington and Collins Avenues in South Beach sits South Beach Brewing Company, the perfect place to cool off with a cold beer after a hot day on the sand.
The taproom is a welcoming, laid-back place that serves light beers like the Citrus Coast White Belgian and Sunshine Blonde Ale. It’s the creation of former Bachelor and Big Brother star Lorenzo Borghese, so you’ll get a little dose of reality TV celebrity along with your beers. The brew pub also puts out perfect after-beach bites, like Largo fish dip and a Cuban grilled cheese.
Spanish Marie Brewing
When your brewery is named after a notorious 1920s rum runner, a little bit of secrecy is naturally part of your brand. Such is the case with Spanish Marie Brewing in Kendall. It’s the creation of two longtime friends and Miami natives who’ve given their suburban brewery a distinctly prohibition-era feel.
While the main beer garden is an open, social space, Spanish Marie’s 10-seat tasting room is hidden behind a secret door, and head brewer Jaime Medina comes up with some of the most unique creations in Miami. The lineup of fruited sours is perfect for adventurous drinkers. You can also snag house-made pizza, which goes for $5 during its weeknight happy hour.

Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co.
Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co. has made a name for itself in the Bird Road Art District, a collection of warehouses just east of the Palmetto Expressway. The industrial space juxtaposes exposed ductwork with a homey, vintage feel, paying homage to “Honest Abe” with its name and the thousands of pennies glued to its bar. Beer lovers will find Lincoln’s Beard’s own brews here, such as the P. Swayze IPA and the Morning Glory Blonde Ale, as well as wine and guest beverages from other Miami breweries.
Unseen Creatures
Unseen Creatures doesn’t refer to some imaginary monsters that inspired co-founders Marco and Vicky Leyte-Vidal’s brewing imaginations. It’s a reference to the yeasts and bacteria that give their beers an unmistakably funky flavor.
If you’re a fan of European farmhouse-style beers, make your way to this spot in the Bird Road Art District, where you’ll taste the fullness of the fermentation process in the Berry Is On Top fruited sour or the Last Breakfast oatmeal stout.
Bay 13 Brewery and Kitchen
If your knowledge of Australian beer doesn’t extend much past a giant blue can, it's time to check out this chic brewpub. Named after a particularly boisterous section of the Melbourne Cricket Grounds, Bay 13 brings authentic Down Under-style beers to Coral Gables.
Try the Old Man, a Belgian-style wheat ale that’s as smooth as a sunny day in Sydney. Or opt for the Laughing Gear, a 7% ABV Hazy IPA with notes of guava. In addition to the beer menu, you’ll find a big list of Australian wines and dishes like bangers and mash, rack of lamb and other hearty comfort food.
