Nightlife on Ocean Drive
- November 13, 2025
When the sun sets on South Beach, iconic Ocean Drive transforms into a neon-lit playground of music, cocktails, dining, dancing and energy. The instantly recognizable pastel Art Deco facades glow under the palm trees, while the hum of people having fun, the steady beat of Latin music and the sound of clinking glasses fill the warm Miami air.
Whether you’re here for rooftop cocktails with a DJ and a view, late-night salsa dancing or a lively drag show that spills onto the sidewalk, Ocean Drive offers evenings you’ll always remember.

Indulge in International Cuisine
Ocean Drive is a melting pot of flavors from around the world. The Front Porch Cafe and News Cafe are Ocean Drive staples serving American comfort food with prime sidewalk seating for the ultimate in people-watching. The Front Porch Cafe is open until 2 a.m. every day.
When you’re in the mood for something cozy and low-key, That’s Amore (for pizza and Italian food) and Azabu (for sushi and Japanese) serve up relaxed vibes and excellent food.

For a more-refined, upscale evening, make a reservation at LT Steak & Seafood in The Betsy South Beach hotel, Prime 112 (for prime steaks), CJ’s Crab Shack, or Gianni’s, the dreamy, romantic Italian restaurant inside the former Versace Mansion.

For something a bit more low-key but still full of charm, A Fish Called Avalon and Ocean’s Ten combine delicious seafood with cocktails and live music – the perfect way to start or end a night on Ocean Drive.

Enjoy Live Music
From smooth jazz and sultry flamenco dancing to high-energy salsa and DJ-energized dance floors, Ocean Drive keeps the beat going all night long.
Start with a Miami Beach classic by heading to Jazz at The Betsy at The Betsy South Beach hotel. Miami Beach’s longest-running live music series is perfect for unwinding with best-in-class jazz in an elegant, art-filled setting. Performances take place seven nights a week, with two sets on weekends, featuring an ever-rotating lineup of talented musicians, including Grammy Award-winning pianist Tal Cohen and local icons. There’s no cover or minimum.
A Fish Called Avalon keeps things lively with resident entertainer Tony Cruz moving between flute, guitar and keyboard while playing sounds from flamenco to pop. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a coastal dinner.
Then there’s Kanoli, where the Italian flavors are as authentic as the entertainment. Monday through Thursday, enjoy a flamenco guitar and dance performance. On weekends, the tempo heats up with live salsa and merengue that transforms dinner into a true South Beach celebration.

Check Out South Beach’s Hottest Bars & Lounges
A night out on Ocean Drive means experiencing its myriad bars and lounges. Start at Room 55, the cocktail bar atop the Pelican Hotel. Inside this laid-back speakeasy, the vibe is chic and the atmosphere is low-lit; outside, the open-air patio provides breezy views of the beach with your handcrafted drink. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to keep secret.
Just down the street, Ocean Drive Tiki Bar at the Breakwater hotel will put you into vacation mode. Think tropical cocktails, laid-back island energy and music that keeps with the rhythm of South Beach.
No visit to Ocean Drive is complete without a stop at Mango’s Tropical Cafe, the ultimate Latin nightlife experience. This casual daytime spot turns into a full-on party once the sun sets, with live bands, salsa dancers and mojitos. Whether you’re on the dance floor or sipping something tropical on the patio, Mango’s is the place to be.
For something a little wilder, head to Voodoo. This tiki-inspired lounge and rooftop restaurant throws a themed party every single night. Expect DJ sets, dancing and ocean breezes that remind you why you came to South Beach.

And, of course, you can’t talk about Ocean Drive without mentioning the icons: Wet Willie's (for its infamous frozen concoctions), the Clevelander hotel (always a party, always a scene) and Finnegan’s Way, the casual American-Irish hangout that’s perfect for catching a game or shooting pool while people-watching from the sidewalk.

Experience an Epic Show
The live shows on Ocean Drive are bold, colorful and unique. Palace South Beach, known around the world for its jaw-dropping drag brunches, keeps the energy high long after the mimosas stop flowing. Every night from 7 p.m. to midnight, the queens take the stage for colorful performances that spill out onto the sidewalk for a fabulous, outrageous and unforgettable evening.

Havana 1957 brings the rhythms of Cuba to South Beach. With two Ocean Drive locations serving up classic Cuban dishes, both turn dinner into a full experience on weekends with the Cuban American Affair, a live music and dance show. Catch it Fridays and Saturdays from 9-11 p.m. at 940 Ocean Drive or 8-10:30 p.m. at 1410 Ocean Drive.
For something sultry and sophisticated, J’Adore is Ocean Drive’s newest cabaret-style supper club, and it’s pure showstopping glam. Think Parisian elegance meets Vegas spectacle with a South Beach twist. From cabaret shows like House of Desire and Havana Nights to The Grand Cabaret and Miami Vice, every performance feels like an event.
Dinner service runs nightly from 7-9 p.m. (with live entertainment, no cover Thursday through Sunday), and the main show takes centerstage Thursday through Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ($25 cover, showtime 9:30 p.m.).
The night never ends at the best dance clubs in Miami.
