Hakkasan
Hakkasan is an upscale, MICHELIN-recommended Cantonese restaurant tucked inside the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel in Mid Beach. Quiet and elegant, with low lighting, it’s a favorite for date nights and special occasions.
Dishes like Crispy Almond Prawns and Traditional Roasted Peking Duck are served on imperial marble tables and best enjoyed alongside the restaurant’s original Saketini (vodka, gin, sake, lime and cucumber) or a Basil Heaven (Woodford Reserve bourbon, St. Germain liqueur, passion fruit, basil and orange bitters). Rao’s
A New York City institution, Rao’s opened its Miami Beach location in 2023, in the historic St. Moritz Tower at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The Miami outpost is grander and more modern than its quaint East Harlem predecessor, but you’ll still find many of the original southern Neapolitan favorites, such as Rao’s Famous Meatballs and Chicken Parmigiana.
Because of its coastal location, the South Beach restaurant offers a more assorted seafood selection, including a raw bar – a seafood tower of oysters, shrimp, lobster, clams, and stone crab, and caviar service – as well as permanent pasta dishes like Lobster Fra Diavolo.
Zaytinya
Inside the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, a true gem of Art Deco architecture in Miami Beach, you will find Zaytinya by José Andrés. This Mediterranean paradise offers a menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese traditions, and you can dine in either the sleek indoor dining room, or the outdoor garden patio space with hanging greenery.
The menu centers around a variety of curated mezzes (shared plates). There’s the Vegetarian Mezze, including seared halloumi; Seafood Mezze, including Octopus Santorini, and Meat Mezze, including Bone Marrow Kibbeh. Watr at the 1 Rooftop
Located 18 stories above the Atlantic Ocean, Watr at the 1 Rooftop is the crowning jewel of the eco-friendly 1 Hotel South Beach. This seed-oil-free restaurant serves Japanese-influenced cuisine with a healthy dose of Miami sky and water views, and prides itself in supporting local farmers.
Come for lunch or dinner to experience the varied selections from the raw bar and sushi bar. Or choose from solid staples like the carrot-ginger salad, grilled octopus with yuzu-miso marinade or Wagyu skirt steak with teriyaki and wasabi, sunomono and togarashi salt. There are also a variety of desserts to try, including as assortment of mochi ice cream.
Matador Room
The Miami Beach EDITION hotel is a MICHELIN-recommended urban resort that’s also home to Matador Room, where the glamorous dining room still showcases the original 1950s-era chandelier. The menu was developed by world-renowned French-American Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and is inspired by the flavors of South America, the Caribbean and Spain.
Every dish is crafted with local ingredients. Favorites include the arroz con pollo with crackling skin and lemon zest, the black truffle and fontina cheese pizza and the chef’s legendary warm Valrhona chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream.
