Shop At Local Farms And Farmstands
These bountiful farms in Miami are the perfect place to go when you’re craving fresh air and fresher produce. Robert Is Here Fruit Stand And Farm Is Beloved By Locals
Robert Is Here Fruit Stand and Farm has been a mainstay in Homestead since 1959. Robert is Here was the first Florida-based institution added to the National Food & Beverage Foundation's National Culinary Heritage Register, a prestigious list of culinary establishments that are at least 50 years old.
Having started as a small produce stand, owner Robert Moehling has since expanded the business into an entire store selling local and exotic fruits – including carambola, mamey, lychee, atemoya and mangos – and homemade jellies, preserves and Key lime pies. Take the kids and make an afternoon of it. There’s a shaded play area and a free petting zoo with goats, emus, pigs and cows out back.
If it’s a weekend, order one of Robert’s iconic fruit milkshakes or smoothies, grab a seat at a picnic table and sip your treat while listening to live music.

Annual attractions bring their own delights, such as the Harvest Festival with its corn maze and hayrides or the Strawberry Festival with its sunflower fields and strawberry picking.

Sweet Treats At Knaus Berry Farm
In Miami, it’s said that there are two seasons: when Knaus Berry Farm is open (from November to mid-April) and when it is not. Owned by the Knaus family since 1956, this Redland landmark is famous for its ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls, strawberry milkshakes, baked goods, ice cream, jams, jellies, honey and, of course, the hours-long lines of people waiting to get them first thing in the morning.
Now under new ownership, Knaus Berry Farm in Miami has a new location, new operating hours and a more modern feel. Take your kids to its u-pick strawberry farm in Miami or, if they prefer, u-pick tomatoes. For the first time in 70 years, Knaus Berry Farm will be open on Sundays and accept credit cards.
