Best Farmers Markets in Miami

By Angela Caraway - April 30, 2025

Greater Miami & Miami Beach has many exciting restaurants, but for a fresh take on the local culinary scene, stop by one of the area’s many community farmers markets. At these markets, you’ll find local produce and maybe sample something new or exotic that you’ll find only in Miami (and possibly meet the farmers who grow the food). It’s also the chance to meet local makers and artisans and pick up something handmade or unique. Plus, you can bring the whole family, and some markets are dog friendly. You’ll be supporting local purveyors and taking home a true taste of the destination.

    Mr. Fresh Farmers Market

    Mondays-Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Sundays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Enjoy a farmers market every day at family-owned Mr. Fresh Farmers Market in North Miami Beach. You'll find a large variety of locally grown and organic produce, often on sale, as well as a range of superfoods. Inhale the aroma of fresh juices being squeezed at the juice bar, where green and tropical fruit juices are crafted with Miami-grown guava, soursop and passion fruit. Check out the healthy options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from fruit-packed acai bowls to generous salads and hot meals.

    Redland Market Village

    Thursdays & Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Saturdays and Sundays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Food lovers are treated to a culinary adventure at Redland Market Village, an indoor-outdoor farmers market that’s been around since 1987. Set on 27 acres in South Dade, the family-owned market is open year-round and doubles as a flea market on weekends. Load up on fresh produce from local farms, spices and local honey along with authentic Mexican food and even Nicaraguan cheeses. Seafood lovers should head straight for the indoor fish market, where freshly caught fish and other seafood, including oysters, are on ice. Take a tasty break at the food court, filled with farmers market restaurants, then stick around to enjoy live entertainment and fun for the whole family.

    Miami Lakes Farmers Market

    Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Miami Lakes Farmers Market is a popular year-round gem, with tented vendors and food trucks lining New Barn Road and Main Street in Miami Lakes. Scoop up a variety of fresh produce along with bundles of fresh flowers and potted plants. Bring your appetite and enjoy prepared foods, baked goods, natural juices and international delicacies. You can also shop for home decor, handmade soaps, jewelry and unique gifts for kids.

    Legion Park Farmers Market

If you’re looking for fresh, local food, stock up for the week at Legion Park Farmers Market, located at the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and NE 66th Street in the Upper East Side neighborhood. This award-winning farmers market is run by the Urban Oasis Project, which has led Miami’s food movement since 2008. The market features about 40 vendors and sources food from both big and small purveyors, including Bee Heaven Farm. Coconut Grove Organic Farmers Market

    Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Beloved by health-food enthusiasts, yogis and families, the Coconut Grove Organic Farmers Market on Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove is one of the area’s best farmers markets. The sprawling outdoor market is operated by Glaser Organic Farms, and part of the fun is meandering through the airy tents in search of organic produce or exotic tropical fruits you’ve never tried before. The raw food deli is a hit for its hand-rolled vegan sushi rolls and raw food pizzas. But the highlight is the expansive salad bar with an array of choices, from rice salads to fruit medleys and corn salads, all paired with vegan dressings or organic olive oils.

While shopping at luxurious Aventura Mall, make time to refuel at The Aventura Market. It’s South Florida’s largest indoor market, with vendors peppered throughout the lower and upper levels of the mall. It offers a bounty of fruits and veggies from area farmers, but it also shines with specialty foods from all over the world and decadent desserts.
