Discover Miami’s Best Nighttime Attractions
- May 05, 2025
Miami nights are the stuff of legend, where warm air, neon lights and lively clubs combine to create one of the world’s great after-dark destinations. But Miami nightlife isn’t all about ultra lounges and pulsing music. A night out in Greater Miami & Miami Beach can also include stops at a science museum, a symphony performance and a rooftop movie theater. If you’re looking for the best night spots in Miami, look beyond the obvious and check out these attractions, all of which give Miami nightlife a different look.

New World Symphony WALLCAST® Series at SoundScape Park
October-April
One of the most unique things to do at night in Miami Beach is to take in a WALLCAST® Series performance by the New World Symphony. During select weekend shows, the symphony broadcasts a live feed onto the side of the New World Center, and fans grab blankets and pack a picnic to enjoy the show from adjacent SoundScape Park. The best part about the WALLCAST® performances is that they’re free and create a community gathering space for locals and visitors alike.

Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach
Miami Beach nights are perfect for watching movies outside, and high atop Lincoln Road you’ll find a stunning outdoor theater. The Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach features food, a full bar and first-run films all year round. The twinkling skyline and Atlantic Ocean in the distance offer pleasant distractions during breaks in the action.

nightLAB at Frost Science
Miami nightlife can be educational AND fun. Take the monthly nightLAb series at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, where the Downtown Miami museum stays open after hours for an evening of adult education. The 21+ experience offers access to all of Frost Science’s exhibits, with special film screenings in the planetarium, presentations from the museum’s Experts on Call, and hands-on interactive programs where you’ll learn about South Florida’s ecosystem. There’s a bar, too, if you learn better with a cocktail, and telescopes on the roof offer nighttime stargazing.
Bayfront Park Nighttime Water Fountain Show
For over 20 years, Bayfront Park’s landmark Mildred and Claude Pepper Fountain – designed by famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi – sat dormant. Then, to kick off 2025, the fountain made a grand return with 800 water jets and 500 lights, bringing a beautiful spectacle to Downtown Miami. Visitors can stroll by the fountain at night and watch the lights and jets synchronize during regular shows.

Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel
Miami nights bring a completely different aesthetic, where blue skies and glimmering waters are replaced by bright lights casting a sea of color. One of the coolest ways to see it all is atop Skyviews Miami, the 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel at Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami. Tuck into one of 42 air-conditioned gondolas as you take in the panorama of Miami at night or book the special VIP gondola with leather seats and a glass-bottom floor.

Miami Sunset Cruises
Another spectacular way to see Miami by night is on a stunning sunset cruise. Watch the skies turn purple as the destination transforms from beachside paradise to vibrant metropolis while you glide along the calm waters of Biscayne Bay. You’ll find a number of operators at Bayside Marketplace’s Miamarina at Bayside. If you want a little history with your cruise, try the Vizcaya Sunset Cruise by Island Queen Cruises and Tours, which departs from Miamarina at Bayside. The two-hour excursion takes you to the historic Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Coconut Grove, with an onboard wine tasting during the voyage.
Big Bus Miami Night Tour
Big Bus Tours Miami offers one of the top ways to see the destination as you cruise through the streets atop an open-air, double-decker bus. Special night tours take you past sights that are especially vibrant after the sun goes down, like South Beach’s Ocean Drive and Downtown Miami. The best part of the Big Bus Tour is that it allows you to hop on and hop off anytime, so if you want to spend some more time exploring the sights, you’re never in a rush.

Moonlight Kayak Tours at Deering Estate
The Deering Estate in South Dade isn’t just a fascinating look at the life of early Miami industrialist Charles Deering. Its grounds and surrounding waterways are a treasure trove of Miami’s natural wonders, best explored with the soft splashing of a kayak trip. On select nights, the estate runs Moonlight Kayak Tours, where you venture out to Chicken Key by moonlight to explore the mangroves and learn about the birds that call the small island home.

Viernes Culturales
On the third Friday of every month, iconic Calle Ocho in Little Havana turns into a giant street party and celebration of Latin American culture. Viernes Culturales shuts down Southwest 8th Street between 14th and 17th avenues as bars and restaurants open out onto the street. Live music plays from late afternoon well into the evening, and local artists display their work.

Seasonal Nighttime Attractions
Fairchild’s Night at the Garden
During the holiday season, the verdant wonderland of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables becomes a surreal fairyland during Night at the Garden. Augmented reality guides guests through colorful paths where fairies, elves and other mythical creatures hide beneath elephant ears and banana plants. The surreal experience caps off with a talking banyan tree that interacts with everyone, with a mix of wisdom and sarcasm. You’ll also find bars and snack carts along the way, adding to the experience.

Luminosa at Jungle Island
The tropical birds and animals at Jungle Island, on Watson Island between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach, are joined by over 100 light sculptures for Luminosa, which runs from November to March. The park works with over 150 artists to develop magical installations that line Jungle Island’s paths, turning each night into an illuminated adventure.
