The Best Kosher Restaurants in Miami
- April 27, 2026
The kosher dining scene in Greater Miami and Miami Beach goes far beyond the expected, with everything from traditional kosher restaurants to stylish and modern kosher-inspired spots and beautifully prepared Shabbat dinners. Whether you're planning ahead for the Sabbath or just looking for great kosher food, the destination offers something for every occasion.
Fully Kosher Restaurants
Mutra
One of the most exciting additions to Miami’s kosher dining scene, Mutra in North Miami has quickly earned national attention, including a spot on Resy’s 2025 Top 100 as the only kosher restaurant on the list. The restaurant has also earned a MICHELIN star, making it the world’s only kosher restaurant to hold the distinction. Led by Chef Raz Shabtai, the heritage-Jerusalem concept blends Levantine, Galilean and Baladi influences through a farm-to-table approach.
The seasonal menu rotates every few months and showcases creative takes on traditional flavors, with standout dishes like house-made bread with 12 dips, Sicilian eggplant with 12-hour egg and richly layered mains like oxtail musakhan and Tunisian mole.

Zak the Baker
To enjoy one of Miami’s most beloved bakeries and kosher cafes, head to Wynwood and check out Zak the Baker. Housed in a colorful corner building, Zak the Baker began with Zak making bread out of his garage before opening the brick-and-mortar store over a decade ago.
The menu is filled with great breakfast and lunch options, like the frittata sandwich with a veggie frittata, green romesco, avocado and spicy aioli on toasted ciabatta, or a Nova bagel with cold smoked Atlantic salmon, cream cheese, tomato, fried capers and red wine pickled onions. The tuna melt is one of the best in town, and don’t forget to take home some fresh bread.
La Matera
Bringing Argentine steakhouse energy to North Miami Beach, La Matera blends wood-fired cooking with a lively, modern atmosphere. This kosher meat restaurant is a solid destination for a fun night out.
The menu is filled with grilled meats, empanadas and shareable starters that take center stage – especially when they’re brought out and sliced table-side with a little fire action. It’s a great spot for large parties and family-friendly affairs.
Fresko
Located in an Aventura strip mall, Fresko takes diners on a journey around the world with its fully kosher menu. Asian, Italian, Greek and South American cuisine – you’ll find it all in this casual, cozy spot.
Some fan favorite dishes include the Greek pizza, miso sea bass, tuna burger and arepas. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Fresko is an easy option for those looking for Kosher options to please a crowd.
Asiatiko Miami
Another Aventura favorite, Asiatiko Miami is a robata-style Japanese steakhouse that’s all about taking time to slowly grill its offerings over a charcoal fire. On the robata grill, you’ll find everything from oyster mushrooms to eggplant to Korean ribs and lamb chops.
Other popular dishes include tuna crispy rice, Thai beef salad and turkey-wrapped dates with tofu sauce and truffle oil. There’s also a full selection of classic sushi rolls and cocktails with fun names like The Last Samurai, Terracotta Warriors and Sumatran Tiger.
Rustiko
If you’re looking for a casual, bistro-style kosher meal any time of the day (other than during the Jewish Sabbath, of course), Rustiko in Surfside is the place to go. Start the day with classic breakfast dishes like shakshuka (2 eggs with bell peppers and tomato ragu), eggs Benedict with smoked salmon on challah bread, and avocado toast.
For lunch and dinner, the menu skews a bit more Italian with pizza, vegetarian lasagna, mushroom risotto and more. Don’t skip dessert. The tiramisu, Oreo cheesecake and warm apple crumble are all delightful.
STREET Kitchen
Cozy STREET Kitchen in Surfside should be high on your list for kosher food. Chef/owner David Benrey takes diners on a journey of his favorite poultry, beef and fish dishes with a menu that features everything from chicken and waffles to veal tacos, dry-aged steaks and spicy hot chicken sandwiches.
Seafood lovers will find delicious options like pan-seared salmon and branzino served with quinoa. Or try one of the tender, slow-cooked chef’s specials, like the braised beef cheeks served with mashed potatoes and bok choy. It’s a great example of how diverse kosher food in Miami has become.
The Harbour Grill
For a kosher meal on the fancier side in Surfside, check out The Harbour Grill, where you’ll find white tablecloths and impeccable service. Chef/owner Gilbert Amsellem opened this beloved spot in 2006 shortly after arriving in Miami. The menu showcases his Lyon-trained expertise, from the house-made charcuterie and sausages that are all smoked on-site using only natural ingredients, to classic steakhouse favorites like veal chops, wagyu brisket and a scrumptious peppered chateaubriand.
If you’re not into meat, there are plenty of other options, ranging from sushi to grilled salmon and breaded popcorn chicken tossed in the restaurant’s Nitro sauce and topped with sesame seeds.
Ostrow Brasserie
Ostrow Brasserie in Buena Vista, just north of the Miami Design District, is one of Miami’s most popular kosher restaurants, with a French menu that always feels a bit like a celebration.
Making everything from scratch and using French cooking techniques, Chef Olivia Ostrow has created a menu filled with bistro classics, like Lyonnaise salad with poached egg, steak frites and French onion soup. The dining room is warm and inviting with art all over the restaurant.

Kosher-Style Restaurants for Any Day of the Week
Although these restaurants aren’t strictly kosher and are open on the Jewish Sabbath, some or all of the meat they serve is glatt kosher and many of their dishes are prepared in a kosher style.
Motek
With locations all over Miami, Motek is a go-to for those seeking Middle Eastern restaurants in Miami with a kosher-style approach. Motek, which is slang for “sweetie” or “darling” in Hebrew, has a menu full of hot and cold dishes, multiple hummus offerings and even street food delights, like crispy chicken schnitzel on challah bread.
The award-winning Arayes burger on pita bread stuffed with Lebanese grilled beef is always a great choice. Looking for something a little lighter? You can’t go wrong with any of the items on the all-day brunch menu, like avocado toast and an Israeli breakfast with eggs, Israeli salad, labneh, avocado, tahini and feta with a Jerusalem bagel.
Papi Steak
If you’re looking for a full South Beach clubstaurant experience with your kosher-friendly dinner, Papi Steak is the place to go. One of the area’s most lively restaurants, you’ll regularly see steaks being brought to the table with the same flair and excitement as bottle service.
The menu is filled with dishes inspired by the ones co-owner David “Papi” Einhorn grew up eating in his kosher household. Start small with kosher-friendly latkes and truffle kosher chicken before moving on to the Papi Steak, a 32-ounce glatt kosher Tomahawk steak.
