Miami Spice Wynwood and Miami Design District Restaurants
- June 11, 2026
Wynwood and the Miami Design District draw crowds for their art and luxury designer shops, but their restaurant scenes are just as exciting. Thanks to a mix of local gems and MICHELIN-starred eateries, you’re never too far from a delicious, globally inspired meal in these neighborhoods.
Both areas are well represented during Miami Spice, when many of the top restaurants roll out specially priced three-course menus throughout August and September. With lunch and brunch priced at $40, dinner ranging from $50 to $65, and a new Miami Spice Reserve tier starting at $95, here are our favorite participating Miami Spice restaurants to try this summer.

SORA by Hotel Collection
Treat yourself to a Japanese-inspired culinary experience at SORA by Hotel Collection, a sophisticated Wynwood spot known for its omakase, cocktails and caviar – plus special tuna cutting ceremonies where each delicate slice of fish is carved off piece by piece by the masterful chef.
When it’s offered:
- $50 Miami Spice dinner menu is offered Wednesday through Saturday.
- $65 dinner Tuesday through Friday.
What we’re ordering: Options range from a trio of hand rolls to larger plates like hot stone wagyu. On select days, partake in the famed bluefin tuna cutting ceremony, offered as part of SORA’s Reserve menu starting at $95. After nibbling on hors d’oeuvres, watch as the massive tuna is transformed into fresh sashimi and hand rolls right before your eyes.

Sparrow Italia
Visit Sparrow Italia in Wynwood for an Italian-inspired steakhouse meal in a sultry setting. With its dramatic wooden arched ceiling, sunken dining room and live performers, Sparrow has a cool supper club vibe that’s great for special occasions.
When it’s offered:
- $65 dinner menu is available Tuesday through Thursday.
What we’re ordering: Crispy arancini and wagyu carpaccio lead the starters. From there, choose between pasta options like Mikey’s spicy rigatoni alla vodka, or go for something heartier, like a 14-ounce prime bone-in cowgirl ribeye. For dessert, don’t skip the citrus olive oil cake with passionfruit sorbet.
DOYA
DOYA in Wynwood has earned its MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recognition more than once, bringing modern Greek and Turkish coastal cuisine in a warm, convivial setting.
When it’s offered:
- $40 Miami Spice lunch all week.
- $65 dinner menu all week.
- $95 Reserve menu available throughout the week.
What we’re ordering: Lunch is a great entry point to enjoy shareable hot and cold mezze plates and wood-fired meats inside one of the best restaurants in Wynwood. Dinner leans into that same spirit with grilled octopus and truffle orzo. Don’t even think about skipping the beloved baklava for dessert.
For something more intimate, DOYA’s Reserve experience puts you at chef Erhan Kostepen’s table for a multi-course, family-style meal. Savor cold and hot dishes arriving in succession, with three desserts and two cocktails per person.

Nami Nori
Nami Nori in the Miami Design District is a casual temaki bar specializing in open-style sushi hand rolls. The intimate wood-clad spot embraces minimalism for a sleek, authentic Japanese feel.
When it’s offered:
- $40 Miami Spice lunch menu weekdays only.
- $50 dinner menu weekdays only.
What we’re ordering: Highlights from lunch include the fire-roasted corn ribs and wasabi cucumber tataki, as well as coconut shrimp and various hand rolls. Dinner goes deeper into the hand roll lineup, from classic tuna avocado to kanpachi pineapple. If you’re dining with someone, order the mochurro and sesame miso chocolate chip cookie for dessert – you’ll want to try both.
Double Knot
Double Knot is the Miami outpost of celebrity chef Michael Schulson’s beloved Philadelphia izakaya concept, located just steps from the Wynwood Walls. Step inside this hip spot to discover a buzzing, dimly lit restaurant reminiscent of Japan’s laid-back taverns.
When it’s offered:
- $65 Miami Spice dinner is offered daily.
What we’re ordering: Pick one appetizer each from the crispy, small and cold sections – think yellowtail carpaccio, spicy baked scallop and crab, and a shrimp taco before moving on to mains. Choose a robatayaki (grilled skewers), meat or fish entrée and a side. The Udon Mazemen and Kobe beef off the robata grill are worth building your meal around.
Tacos Atarantados
Wynwood’s Sala de Despecho, a nightlife spot to “drink your heartbreak away,” doubles as Tacos Atarantados during the day. Go here for solid Mexican street food in a fun and unstuffy environment.
When it’s offered:
- $40 lunch is offered on weekdays.
What we’re ordering: Start with frijoles atarantados, a bean stew loaded with bacon, chorizo, peppers, beef and pork al pastor. For your main, choose from tacos with meat cooked on the trompo (a vertical rotisserie), such as ribeye or carne asada. For dessert, go classic with churros dunked in dulce de leche or adventurous with a dulce de leche truffle taco with a cheese crust, caramel sauce and chopped walnuts.
La Ferneteria
With origins in Buenos Aires, Argentina, La Ferneteria brings modern Italian comfort cuisine to a ninth-floor Wynwood rooftop with sweeping views of the neighborhood skyline. This restaurant and lounge serves delicious food and high drama with its tropical-surreal design, lush foliage and the occasional fire dancer.
When it’s offered:
- $65 dinner menu is available Wednesday through Sunday.
What we’re ordering: Roasted octopus with potatoes and lamb skewers with Romesco sauce are highlights from the appetizers. Indulgent mains move from a creamy cavatelli in porcini cream and truffle oil to a catch of the day with a warm tomato, eggplant and fennel salad. Save room for one of four desserts – we’re going for the Mille-Feuille. This layered pastry comes with cardamom-infused cream and tangerine.
