Live on the Plaza: Calixto Oviedo and the Cuban Jazz Train

Latin Grammy nominee Calixto Oviedo and his band the Cuban Jazz Train bring their unique Spanish and Blues-inflected flavor of Afro-Cuban jazz to the Thomson Plaza for the Arts on Thursday, November 15 for the third installment of the Arsht Center's Live on the Plaza outdoor music series.
Oviedo has collaborated with legendary artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Chucho Valdés. He's also shared the stage with celebrated Cuban percussionists like Tata Güines, José Luis “Changuito” Quintana and Miguel “Angá” Diaz.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with light bites and beverage service for purchase. Happy hour pricing is available until 7 p.m. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m.
