weekly on Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Witness the gripping drama of Two Sisters and a Piano, a play written and directed by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz. Set against the backdrop of 1990s Havana during the Pan American Games, the play follows the lives of two sisters, Maria Celia and Sofia, living under house arrest during the Russians' departure from Cuba. The play unfolds in 1991, a time of shifting global politics in Havana. Maria Celia and Sofia find themselves entangled in a cat-and-mouse game with a charismatic military officer who becomes infatuated with Maria Celia. As the sisters navigate the complexities of passion and politics, they await freedom, unsure if it will come through political change, Maria Celia's distant husband or the military officer who has entered their lives.
Presented by Miami New Drama, Two Sisters and a Piano opens on Thursday, January 25 with performances Thursday-Sunday through February 18.
