The Miami Beach Arts in the Parks concert series kicks off 2024 with Miami Folkways: Sounds Like Home, an inaugural folk festival that feels like Miami. Produced by Rhythm Foundation in partnership with FIU Wolfsonian Humanities Lab and WLRN-FM's weekly Folk and Acoustic Music Program, the festival takes place on Sunday, January 21 at the Miami Beach Bandshell, featuring Bonnie Prince Billy, Miami Sound Choir, Inez Barlatier & Jan Sebon, Stillblue, and more.
For the past three-plus decades, the artist best known as Bonnie "Prince" Billy (aka Will Oldham) has made an idiosyncratic journey through the worlds of indie rock and independent cinema, leaving an indelible mark. His highly individualistic approach to music making and the music industry along with his songwriting have captivated fans and made him one of the most influential and beloved songsmiths.
